Bursary Funding
At Ridgeway, we have different pathways available depending on your goals, these are outlined below:
A level pathway
Consider this pathway if you are looking for a place at a top university or a degree apprenticeship and want to study three subjects in depth (a small number of high achieving students may study a fourth subject).
- 1 A level : 1 A level : 1 A level/BTEC
Add EPQ OR Student Leadership AND Add R6 Aspire and Volunteering alongside your academic mentoring and Independent Study periods.
Combination pathway
Consider this pathway if you want to consider university, apprenticeship at any level or employment and keep your options open.
- 1 A level : 1 A level : 1 A level or BTEC/Applied subject
- 1 A level : 1 BTEC/Applied or a Double BTEC : 1 BTEC/Applied or 1 A level
- Triple BTEC: Sport
Add HSLA OR Student Leadership AND Enrichment Activities and Volunteering alongside your academic mentoring and Independent Study periods.
Vocational pathway
Consider this pathway if you are considering an apprenticeship or employment as main option, but may consider university in a particular subject.
- Double BTEC : Double BTEC : Single BTEC/Applied
- Double BTEC : Double BTEC : 1 A level
- 1 A level : Single BTEC/Applied : Single BTEC/Applied
- Triple BTEC: Sport
Add HSLA OR Student Leadership AND Enrichment Activities and Volunteering alongside your academic mentoring and Independent Study periods.
Entry requirements for individual courses can be found on the subject pages in the course booklet section of the prospectus.
The grade requirements are 5 grade 5s including English and Maths to study at R6.
